LELA Presents
Debbie Carter - Section 8

In May, our monthly meeting will provide a great opportunity to learn about the important and valuable Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, formerly known, and still referred to, as the Section 8 program.

Whether you are just starting out as a landlord with your first property, or you are a seasoned veteran, you really need to know about how this program works, how it’s changing, and when to make it part of your investment strategy.   Landlords who are experienced with this program will tell you that it offers some advantages that are just impossible to get elsewhere – like guaranteed on-time rent payments, lower tenant turnover, greater tenant accountability, greater access to tenants’ rental history, and more.  Section 8’s requirements are very manageable, given the benefits that it can provide.  It’s simply a “MUST KNOW” program, in order to thrive as a real estate investor in our economically-stressed region.

We’re very pleased to present Debbie Carter, HCV Program Manager for the Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) to our May monthly meeting.  Please join us for an insightful presentation, followed by an ample question/answer period, and hear Debbie’s advice on how to work with this program to achieve the greater success that you desire.

The monthly meeting is held at the Elyria Holiday Inn on Route 57 May 4, 2010 @ 7:00 PM.  Guest need to pre-register by calling the LELA Office at 440-233-5300 or
